GCSE & A-LEVEL Turkish in London
Teaching GCSE & A-LEVEL Turkish in London
I'm Betul Gultekin-Ozbal, a high school teacher originally from Istanbul. I taught GCSE and A-Level Turkish across three London colleges and work with Pearson UK on GCSE and IGCSE Turkish assessment for 5 years. (Ashboune College, Collingham College, City College Angel)
I studied at Istanbul University, where I also completed my PGCE.
Throughout my own education I focused on research, self-motivation and entrepreneurship, and I kept picking up new skills along the way. Travel has shaped me more than almost anything else: I have visited more than 30 countries, including a Work and Travel programme in the United States, guided by a simple idea of travelling, discovering and learning.
I believe in multicultural teaching and learning. Because I've seen so much of the world, I can bring real, everyday situations into the classroom, and those examples push students to think critically.
Students today have grown up surrounded by technology. I think they benefit from working through real-life cases in class, so they can express themselves clearly and build careers with a genuine understanding of cultural differences.
